I took my first trip to Las Vegas to celebrate my mom's birthday. We had a great time! I made 21 almost a year ago, but believe it or not, I had never been to the casino. What better place to start off than in Vegas, right?

For my mother's actual birthday, I took her to Bacchanal Buffet at Caesar's Palace, which I highly recommend. It's the priciest of the buffets, but worth it! They use quality ingredients and have so many different cuisines to choose from.

There's a crepe station where you can choose which sauce you want, but the topping (fruit, nuts, etc.) are self serve.

I love the street tacos section. They offered three different types: chicken, steak and pork. There's also a salsa bar next to it.

I had to try the Pho since I'd always heard rave reviews about this dish. I just don't think I'm much of a fan. The small plate is my street taco - steak.

For drink, I always get water with lemon, but my mother had the peach iced tea and it's so good! It tastes like actual peach tea and not the artificial flavoring that most try to pass off. There's also a fresh fruit/veggie juice bar.

One thing about me - I have an uncontrollable sweet tooth. I was more in to the desserts than anything else, and that's what I ate the most of. They had an assortment of pastries, fruit desserts and a full gelato selection. The mango gelato was amazing!

If you're ever in Vegas, make sure you make a stop at the Bacchanal Buffet, I promise you'll be glad you did.

Victoria's Secret Sport

I recently received an invitation from Influenster to participate in a campaign with Victoria's Secret to test out their sportswear and be a #VSSportTester. I love VS and was super excited to join. I couldn't wait for the package to arrive in the mail.

My package included the sports bra, leggings and coupons all packaged in the signature VS striped gift box.

I wore the sports bra to work in the morning because I'd be going to the gym when I got off. The bra is comfortable and gives enough support to wear all day. Unlike most sports bras, it has underwire so it is more like a real bra but comfortable. I like the crisscross back design and the fact that it hooks in the back.

I did a full workout and then sat in the steam room for a few minutes afterward and the bra remained dry. Usually after a workout, my clothes are soaked in sweat, but not this time. The VS Sport Bra keeps you dry and cool even underneath your clothes.

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Wrestlemania XXX

The city of New Orleans hosted WWE's main event, Wrestlemania, for the first time ever this past weekend. I'm very glad to say that I was a part of it.

Wrestlemania XXX took place on Sunday, April 6 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The pre-show festivities included a full weekend of a wrestling fan's paradise beginning last Thursday. Wrestlemania Axxess held at the Convention center hosted a roster of WWE's favorite superstars in fan interaction driven activities. There were autograph signings and photo sessions. I worked all of these events, and I was amazed at how dedicated and diverse the fan base was. People came from all over the world. I came across so many who didn't even speak English, but they all traveled so far just for the love of it, and were so happy to be there.

I worked as a brand ambassador for Totino's, the comapny who makes pizza rolls, and I had a blast all weekend with that team. Sheamus, one of the wrestler's works with the company, so on the last day we met with him for a little greeting and photo op.

On the first day working, one of the wrestlers who I wasn't familiar with was signing autographs and he caught my eye because he was absolutely gorgeous! I had no idea who he was, but I soon found out that he goes by the ring name Roman Reigns.

I used to love to watch wrestling when I was younger, and was really into it for a while, so I was pretty excited myself to see some of my old favorites.

On the day of Wrestlemania, I worked in Champion's Square. Doors didn't open until 3:30, three hours before show time, but people were lined up in swarms long before then. It was insane. I don't think I've ever seen so many people in one place, ever!

Doors didn't open until 3:30 p.m., this was around 1. Insane.

I originally had no plans on attending the main event, but right when the show was about to start, our event managers told us that we had tickets and could go in if we would like to. Of course I did!

We actually had great seats! They were first level, and compared to some people who paid big money to sit up way higher, I'd say we made out pretty good.

Of course I have to be typical Kaitlyn and tell you how pretty the set up was. The lighting was everything! It complemented each superstar's entrance and theme so well.

John Cena's was my favorite.

Throughout the whole weekend, I was seeing these branded T-shirts and merchandise with slogans and saying that I just didn't understand. The fans would randomly start chants and leave me so confused as to what was going on, but it all came together for me at the main event. When the superstars came out, it all made sense. I found myself completely immersed by the wrestling entertainment before me, just as I did as a kid. That little girl in me who used to watch Smackdown every Thursday night came right back out of me. I was surprised at how quickly my knowledge of the techniques and rules of wrestling came back to me. I was even schooling the people next to me on what was going on. I got so excited when my new favorite reason to watch wrestling - Roman Reigns- came out along with his partners, The Shield. I missed their entrance though because they appear through the crowd, not the typical way and by the time I saw them, they were already in the ring.

The most shocking part of the whole night was the undefeated Undertaker's streak coming to an end. My jaw dropped on that third count that granted Brock Lasner the win and making Undertaker 21-1. I witnessed Wrestlemania history. In all honesty, I still can't believe it.

I must acknowledge the passing of The Ultimate Warrior. It's so crazy that he was just inducted into the Hall of Fame, and I saw him at Wrestlemania on Sunday and now only a few days later, he has passed. I even took a silly photo in the Face Off booth at Axxess wearing his mask. You never know what life may bring. May he rest in peace.

Checking In

First off, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

So a lot has happened since my last post. Last time I posted, I had graduated college. Since then I've been sending out resumes and applying to lots of places. I must admit that I started to get frustrated and discourage by the lack of immediate response I was receiving. Although I had heard how long it typically takes to land a job in your field after graduation, I still wanted to find my job immediately. Right now my goal is to have a job by the time LSU students go back to school, since if I was still in school, I'd be on this break anyway.

In other news I GOT A CAR! :D It's my first car, and I bought it on my own. It feels amazing. The car buying process is stressful, overwhelming and way too much to deal with. I literally had no idea what I was doing so I'm so thankful I had family to help me. The car I initially was ready to buy got sold by another salesman and I was super annoyed. That just goes to show that it wasn't meant to be and when good things fall apart, it's always for something better to come together.

I have my first job interview for a big girl job tomorrow. This would be amazing if I get hired this quickly, so fingers are crossed. The job hunt is stressful, and if anyone else is in this position right now, don't give up! Keep searching and you will find something right for you.
